The twang and tenderness of the southern mountains whispers through the melodies of this new collection of original songs by upstate New York's Midnight Choir. Introducing melodic and playing techniques drawn from jazz, classical and global traditions, this is brilliantly arranged stringband music that stands out like a cool island in a sea of bluegrass that sometimes gets overheated.

Inspired by progressive players from David Grisman to David Grier, this three-man ensemble is an exciting new arrival in the Northeast roots music scene. With deep respect for each other’s playing, and a willingness to explore musical ideas together, the strong line-up features:
