The six members of Wednesday’s Child have been making music together on and off for 17 years. Individually, we have performed professionally throughout New England in various jazz, rock, and folk ensembles. Our music expresses solidarity with local eco-justice projects, regional hunger centers, refugee resettlement, and the quest for common ground in these fractured days.

Through close vocal harmonies and subtle instrumentation, we seek to incarnate a shared vulnerability that trusts that beauty can awaken us to awe, joy, and compassion. In addition to deconstructing songs by the Stones, Beatles, Tom Waits, the Eels, CSNY, and Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan, Plant-Krause, and Josh Ritter, the band has performed a 50th anniversary concert of John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme” as well as Paul Winter’s “Missa Gaia”.
