Art Opening in the Music Room featuring Bill Wright and Joseph Wilk

Join us as Carrie Wright presents works by Joseph Wilk & Bill Wright for view and sale.

Opening reception on January 8th, 5pm-7pm in the expanded space at Dottie's Coffee Lounge, curated by Carrie Wright, whose goal it is to make exceptional art available to our community and its collectors.

Joseph Wilk: Currently residing in Brooklyn, New York. Joseph Wilk is a graphic designer and photographer working in the fashion industry. Born in Pittsfield he began both photography and design from being involved in the local music scene photographing and designing artwork for bands. His work is inspired by and reflects the raw ideas and feeling of that young punk scene.

The works are of printed photos on newsprint roughed up and stained. There is a true grit feeling that is being evoked from these images. Reminiscent of pages from an old punk zine. This show also includes Josephs original illustrations. Fun, creative works that will make you smile.

Bill Wright: Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and graduated from the Colorado Art Institute in 2000. He is currently a resident of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. After working in the commercial photography industry for a decade, he embarked on a monumental artistic project that became VETS. Recent projects include Papermakers; a portrait series of the employees of Crane Paper Company and a new series titled The Answer is Never the Answer. He shares his time between personal art projects and commissioned work. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums Nationally.

The new works CHASING THE LIGHT capture the stationary elements of images in a ghostly air. These stunning images create an ambience of a dream. Obscuring moving elements have a breathtaking look.
